Jacky Tsai builds a world where Chinese folklore and Western pop culture collide.

Born in Shanghai and based in London, Tsai first drew attention with his floral skull motif. His practice moves between painting, lacquer, porcelain and hand-cut paper, layering traditional craft techniques with superheroes, playing cards and cinematic icons to create densely detailed, wryly funny compositions.
